Dear friends and colleagues,
After the success of the First International Conference on Civil and Building Engineering Informatics
(ICCBEI 2013) on November 7 - 8, 2013, in Tokyo, Japan, we will hold the Second ICCBEI 2015 in Tokyo again.
However, the venue is different, and we have selected Tokyo Conventional Hall, which is much more convenient
than last year. It takes only 5 minutes on foot from Tokyo Station to the venue and it is very new and clean.
We cordially invite you to participate in ICCBEI 2015, which will be held on April 22 - 24, 2015, very pleasant
time of the year in Tokyo.
ICCBEI 2015 covers a wide range of research fields in the application of Information and Communication Technology
(ICT) to Civil, Building, and Environmental Engineering. One of the main topics will be BIM/CIM, which is changing
the way of lifecycle management of buildings and civil infrastructure systems. Other main topics include sensing
, numerical analysis, simulation, and maintenance in structural and geotechnical engineering. Of course, we won'
t forget visualization and modeling of 3D environment and construction processes, BEMS/HEMS, etc.
A panel discussion will be organized by the Japan Construction Information Center (JACIC) on the first day on the
theme of Construction Information Modeling (CIM). We are going to invite keynote speakers from both academia and
industry, who will give presentations on the state-of-the-art technologies and best practices.
Participants will enjoy not only the presentations and talks but also world's best Japanese food and drinks at
reception, lunches, and banquet. In addition, we are organizing an optional tour in Tokyo on Saturday, April 25, 2015.
We welcome you to attend ICCBEI 2015. We look forward to seeing you at Tokyo Convention Hall in April 2015.
